This weeks project is to finish my owl bunting, I've had this little project on the go for a couple of months now and it needs to get finished!
I spent some quality TV time last night sewing eyes on these little babies. I only have a bag of missed buttons so didn't have enough of the same to do matching eyes, not sure if it makes my owls look a little crazy. Umm, not crazy, lets say full of character.
It's has been a title weird working here, am dog sitting at friends house, two little whippets called Lipp and Shadow, who will chew anything (and I mean anything and everything) not nailed down.
The little darlings have already eaten my purse, and everything in it, including credit cards , money and receipts and my beloved crochet ideas book. Luckily my favourite patterns can be reprinted, but I had snippets of wool I liked working with that have been eaten. Not sure how that is going to work - on the basis what goes must come out. Luckily they were only small samples.....
Does anyone else have to guard against pets sabotaging their craft working.
Molly is my normal crochet companion, and occasionally I come across a piece of soggy wool and find her at the other end of the ball.... And she does seem to think she she owns every piece of amigurumi I make. But that is possibly.... Possibly I say, my fault. I used to give her my crochet cast offs to play with, and in fact some of the misfit teddy bears (when I was going through my I want to make a cut teddy bear phase.....) lasted way longer than some of shop bought toys that Molly Moo can destroy in minutes.
This is Molly at Barry Island, my little baby girl.....
Anyway, my owls are under my watchful eyes and are going to get their beaks tonight...... I'll update with completed bunting when its done.

Hello World It's A Brand New Day
I don't know about you but setting this blog up has got steam fizzing out of my ears. Haven't got a clue what I am doing. Give me a crochet hook any day of the week.
My friend sings a little song to me sometimes "hello world, it's a brand new world new day. I'm picking my nose and throwing it away".
So hello world. Welcome to my first blog
I did my first craft fair of the year yesterday at the Mackintosh Centre in Cardiff, I love spending time with all those "crafty" like minded ladies (no gents unfortunately..).
A lovely lady came to my stall and had a chat about my products.. photo's to follow - once I have worked out how to get one on here that is.... anyway we talked about how to turn what I do as a hobby into a small business.. and one of her bits of advice was to get a blog going.
Ta-da. And here i am, and here's a hat. Just to prove I can add pictures. Fabulous.
I promise faithfully to keep you updated with my wild and wonderful crochet stories. At the moment I am completely wow'd by Booby Beanies. My sister, (Quirky Cakes by Kim - on facebook - you have got to check her out) told me about these little hats that seem to be "in" at the moment.
Here's another picture, the first one wasn't a fluke - my very first nipple. The idea is that when you are breast feeding, the booby beanie worn by the little bundle of joy looks like a giant booby.
Ummm. Not sure I get it entirely. But I put one on Ebay and it sold straight away. So, I put another one on today and it got two watchers almost immediately.
Is it wrong to get so excited.
Ok I am half way through a night shift now, so I'll sign off. Not sure if I can get back into this and carry on or whether I will have to start a new post. We'll see. I am such a nerd. Is anyone else struggling with the technology.... :-}
